The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) will host the first African Congress of Certified Public Accountants (ACOA) from November 7 to 9, 2011, in Nairobi. The theme of the event is « Accounting and Infrastructure in Africa ». The Congress will raise challenging questions and encourage lively discussions on the role of accounting and the accountant in the sustainable development of the continent. Infrastructure has a crucial role to play in the economic development of a nation and contributes significantly to the improvement of the livelihoods of its citizens. Participants in the meeting will be regional thought leaders, industry experts and other professionals from different parts of the world, who also play a key role in infrastructure development in their countries and globally.
