The territory of Côte d’Ivoire has the appearance of a quadrilateral, whose south offers a 520 km frontage on the Atlantic Ocean, in the western part of the Gulf of Guinea. The country is characterized by a low relief. Most of the land is made up of plateaus and plains.  The territory counts more than sixty ethnic groups, we can for example quote the Baoulé, Bété, Gouro, Dioula, etc. You will have understood, the Ivorian culture is rich and varied! The western region of Côte d’Ivoire is culturally very rich with its traditional dances and masks. If the Ivorian economy is mainly based on the agricultural sector that favors a hot and humid climate, the contribution of industry to the GDP is estimated at 20% and that of the tertiary sector at 50%. Côte d’Ivoire also has some oil reserves that are important for its economy. Despite a still fragile political situation, Côte d’Ivoire alone has an industrial fabric and transport infrastructure that is unequalled in the region. A port system (Abidjan and San Pedro) dominated by Abidjan, the first transit and transshipment port in West and Central Africa; an airport system in full expansion; a dense and changing telecommunications network; a highly developed economic capital, Abidjan, with little competition in the region: drinking water flowing from taps, large avenues, several bridges Cote d’Ivoire will host the Cup of Nations (CAN) in June 2024. Five (5) cities geographically dispersed over the territory will host the various competitions with the final bouquet in Abidjan. This means that already in May 2024, Cote d’Ivoire will be adorned with its most beautiful dress, and ready to welcome the whole world. The city of Abidjan will thus be the continental showcase with a device Hotel of High Standing, a renovated road network with five (5) bridges, interchanges and new ways. Given the size of the event, the National Security Council, chaired by the President of the Republic himself, his Excellency Alassane Ouattara has provided Côte d’Ivoire with a health security device of superior level.
